Dreams for King’s

In 1963 Dr Martin Luther-King Jnr gave his most famous speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington.  "I have a dream..."

At King's we have dreams too.  Dreams of God's Kingdom coming.  Dreams of God's promises being fulfilled in greater measure.  Dreams for Christchurch.  Dreams for NZ.  Dreams for this region of the world.

Our dream is that King’s will be a place where people from every nation and background find Christ as Saviour and Lord on a daily and weekly basis and are baptised, filled with the Spirit and added to the church.

Our dream is that King’s will be a committed community of genuine friendships, where people can grow in their knowledge and experience of God, by the Spirit and the Word of God.

Our dream is that King’s will be a place where the Father is worshipped, through the Son, by the Spirit and in Truth.

Our dream is that many hundreds of people will find amongst us healing and wholeness, where the power of the Spirit is seen in transformed lives.

Our dream is that King’s will be a community of believers where each person has a unique part to play according to their calling and gifting.

Our dream is that King’s church will play its part in transforming the city and the nation.

Our dream is that King’s church will always remember the poor.

Our dream is that King’s will be a church that stands shoulder to shoulder with Newfrontiers, our family of churches around the world, being established apostolically and prophetically and together reaching the world.

Our dream is that King’s will be a centre from which many are sent out in church planting, mission, aid and service to God into the nations, particularly the unreached peoples in Asia-Pacific.
